ULC Certificates
ULC - Underwriters Laboratories of Canada is a non-profit standards writing body that services the security, fire and other life safety industries. It's label is the indication that your equipment and installation meets a standard that other manufacturers may or may not meet.

ULCUnderwriters' Laboratories of Canada (UL Canada) is an independent, not-for-profit product safety testing and certification organization. They have tested products for public safety for more than 80 years and are accredited by the Standards Council of Canada, under the National Standards System.

The fact that Alarmtech is listed by ULC (Underwriter's Laboratories of Canada) enables us to provide certificated systems that are inspected by an unbiased third party, ULC. This certification service assures our customers that they are receiving a thorough and professional installation using only quality products scrutinized by an independent organization who will periodically inspect our craftsmanship and ensure it continues to meet these standards.

Think about it - when you contract a security company to install a system in your business, how do you really know that they are using quality products and utilizing proper installation techniques? Simple, you request a ULC Certificate and decide to which level of protection you wish to be secured.

Some insurance companies insist that your security system be ULC Certified. That's because they recognize that the losses as a result of intrusion can be dramatically reduced if a security system is installed according to the standards to which they specify. When instructing one of their customer's to "have a security system installed", there is a wide interpretation as to what constitutes a security system. When they specify a ULC Certified security system with a specific "level of protection" there is no question as to which products can be used and how it may be installed.
